Pinto Art Museum

Pinto Art Museum/Pinto Art Gallery
Grand Heights Subdivision San Roque Antipolo, Rizal

Before reading the Pinto Art Tour, Read first the Antipolo Roadtrip Part 1. Antipolo, Rizal (Click here)

This might be the most famous museum in Rizal with different celebrities and travel bloggers visiting the museum, from time to time it pop-up on my instagram feed and I can say that It really catch my attention. I do not have a talent for art, yes I am a teacher but thanks to technology and it make our work more easy especially for us, Science educators. However, I have a huge interest and appreciation for art found in different museums in our country. I've been eagerly want to visit this museum because of the different reviews I read from blog community.

We supposed to visit the museum on a Saturday but I came late in Manila because of the lazy weather. The rain poured and we decided to move it the next day. The weather is just so perfect for a road trip in Pinto Art Museum.

How to get there?
From Araneta Center Cubao ride a UV Express going to Antipolo City. The UV express will drop you at the Antipolo Cathedral, from the Cathedral ride a trycycle that will take you to Grand Heights subdivision where Pinto Art Museum is Located or just simply tell the driver to take you to Pinto Art Museum. The ride going here is P60.00 that can fit up to 4 persons.

There is a long line of vehicle park outside the Museum and it only means that there are a lot of people inside. We lined up at the entrance to pay the entrance ticket. P180.00 for a regular ticket, P150.00 for a senior citizen and P100.00 for a student with ID. I paid P100.00 and availed their student discount. (Sayang ang discount)

I google(d) what pinto means, I know pinto means door. (kaya ba pinto kase maraming pinto?) I don't think so. Haha Pinto only means that it is open for various local artist. It is a collection of  over 300 modern painting, sculptures and art installation by various local artist it is project of Silangan Foundation for Arts, Culture, and Ecology, a non-profit organization dedicated to promoting Philippine arts and culture. The foundation is being led by neurologist Dr. Joven Cuanang. He, who is deeply rooted in his inclination to Filipino’s artistic prowess, has accumulated a number of artworks in his personal
collection.

As I set my feet on a 1.2 hectare property, I did not set high expectations on the museum. I know that it house the biggest mural painting in the Philippines. There is a lot of people but enough to occupy on how big it is. Mahirap pa ding mag pic!

Tip: Don't forget to ask for a map. The place is not a joke it is really huge! We even missed the gallery 6 because we did not saw where the entrance. Well I think there is always a reason to go back.

Other shot are taken using Iphone5s. Badly need to buy a DSLR!

It is really a challenge to take a picture. As I remember, as I pose to their famous ladder near the entrance foreign guest don't care if somebody is actually taking picture, but not for Pinoys! They are patiently waiting for other guest to finish. Ganun naman talaga dapat di ba? Kung gusto mo nang magandang pic, let other give a chance to have their picture. Naibalik na yung respeto na tinanggal ng Yexel Toy Museum. Haha Naks.

Wala dapat akong hugot dito. Wala akong planong lagyan to ng label na hugot. Pauso sila. Anong alam nilang relationship goals! Haha I saw a dozen of couple everywhere. Its just so hard to imagine that I was in a beautiful place without you Chos!. What more heartbreaking is, it is happening on a week before the heart's Day. Pauso kayo, Pwe! Haha Bitter na bitter lang.

Being miserable is a choice. Enjoy life to the fullest.

The biggest painting I saw in my entire life! As in Big! Very Huge Painting.

Not just paintings but different art installation from different local artist. I saw a group of koreans also who is doing a tour inside the museum and they have a guide. Maybe you will pay extra bucks if you will ask for a guide. Iba ang ngiti ni kuya eh. Haha

2 hours visit is not enough on how big it is. We are running out of time because Hinulugang Taktak is only open til 5:00pm

A closer look. .
