ZAMBALES 2014

ZAMBALES 2014

Guzman Family Summer Outing 2014

A month ago when we are planning for a summer outing for this year. Since i was not able to join the last years beach outing because of my busy-hectic schedule, i really want to push through since my schedule is flexible.

We choose Iba Zambales throughout the years because we have relatives living few kilometers from the beach. And of course, to make our life more easier(since we are almost 50) for the food, utensils, pillow, blanket etc. And if we cant accommodate by the rooms we got, we have our last choice to sleep.

Plus: Free Breakfast :))

On the plan: April 26 and 27. Since a lot of us disagree these dates because of some commitments and others do not have their salary yet, we move it the next week, May 3 and 4. No monsoon2, no signs of rain at all.

For our vehicle. We got 2 vehicle. The "truck" and "jeepney". This is not a travel this is a family outing. We are almost 50. Jeepney can accommodate 20 persons while truck is 30. A big help for us who travel almost 50.

To guarantee my seat,
I ride in the jeepney.
(they say it is enjoy in the truck)
For our resort, We choose Island Grace Beach Resort since it is recommended by some of our family friends. Rates and contact number are available online. But, for a beach resort, it is a bit expensive. On the other hand their services are great.

Island Grace Beach Resort

The Good thing with the services of this resort are: they have lifeguard on standby(most of the nearby resorts do not have) for rent stove, gas tank, volleyball and other things needed in our stay. Affordable liquors and mix drinks. No entrance fee and No Check-in check-out.

Hello Beach!
Nice to see you again
A family room worth 5,000, standard room worth 3,500 and 2 nipa huts worth 1,000(1 is free if you avail 2 rooms)

Of course since i am an aspiring traveler and adventurist, i force my cousins to do a boat ride and snorkeling.

30-seater boat

I was really shock when the bangkero told us that we can do snorkeling (like Arggggghhhh do not have my gear) he said they have but, i just use mask since i don't want to use the snorkel and to have a direct contact with the previous riders.

The diving spot is 20-minutes boat ride from our resort. as i observe, i do not have a hard time when water comes on my eyes because i think it is just a combination of fresh water and salt water. They have corals nearby the other resorts and community and do not have enough fish for wow factor.

But, it is FUN since it is my first time. I will buy my gear the next time we visit.

The snorkeling site
The boat ride costs 100 pesos each person we pay a total of 2300 pesos a bit expensive because it the boat came from our resort. The beach have colorum tourist boat (costs half of our price) but, they don't have enough life-vest and gear and it is dangerous. Almost all the tourist in our resort choose to ride the official.
