Haduan Falls, Mabalacat Pampanga

Haduan Falls
Sitio Haduan Clark Airbase, Mabalacat Pampanga

I am not a fan of climb even budget climbs. BIOPIPS have been to Arayat and Miyamit and yet I never attempted or came to my mind to join them. I just don't get the idea of being exhausted for few hours just to chase waterfalls. Yung Hinulugang Taktak nga mag-tryk ka lang andun ka na! Haha

How to get there:
Option 1
Bring your own car. Use GPS and Ask security of Clark if where is Sitio Haduan.

Option 2 (Not Recommended)
Ride a jeep with Route 6 in Bayanihan Terminal. You ask the driver if they will pass by at gate 14 of Clark. Gate 14 will be the gateway going to aeta community of Sitio Haduan. From Gate 14 walk few meters going to jump off point. Approximately 30 mins walk.

Option 3 (Recommended)
Hire a jeepney at Clark. Any of the C-Point Balibago or Highway bound jeep can go there. Just ask the driver first if he knows Sitio Haduan because Clark is not a joke. We even ended up going to Bamban Tarlac because our driver is not familiar with Sitio Haduan. No need to walk for 30 mins going to jump-off point.

Best Advice is to Ask the Security guards of Clark. They are everywhere!! I tell you getting lost is such a waste of time. Thank you lang naman ang kapalit ng tanong.

The public transportation of Clark is not regular, most of the companies has a shuttle service. Our driver opted to join us in the trek instead of staying at the jump-off point or he will do balikan. Yung transpo na lang talaga ang may balikan ngayon! Haha  We choose option 3. It's more convenient for us since we are travelling in a group of 7 (that supposed to be a group of 10 or more) Thanks to our friends who are just one-text away at hindi sila Pabebe! Haha

I was not able to get the number of the driver because of some misunderstanding. Haha

Breakdown of Expenses:
Clark to Sitio Haduan Jeep- P142 per person (P1,000)
Xerox Copy daw - P5.00 per person
Environmental Fee, Entrance Fee and Guide Fee - P100 per person

Total per person: P247.00

Haggle!! Haha The fee collector

Jump-off point
What to know:
  • The P5.00 xerox copy is for the waiver. You need to sign at gate 14 before you can enter. I have a strong feeling na pang-kape lang yun ng mga security guards. Haha
  • We haggle the P700 pesos Entrance and Guide Fee and ended up to P500. However at the end of the trek we found out that our guide is 18-year old father and has 2 kids. Binigay na yung 200 sa kanya para sa pamilya. Haha
  • Bring packed lunch or buy a bucket meal at your preferred fast food chain. Just don't forget that you will hire a driver and guide. It is a tradition to share them a meal. Consider them in your food to bring.
  • Wear your ultimate footwear. Yung pwedeng basahan at bato-han. I just so love my japeyks na crocs.
  • Expect to get wet while on the trek. So you should wear what you will use to swim and since there is no CR in the place.
  • Bring plenty of water. However there is a safe drinking water while on the way. Thesis ata yun.
  • Always practice CLAYGO. Clean as you go.
  • Do some stretching before the trek. It's a must.

MY HADUAN TEAM

There is actually 2 ways of getting to Sitio Haduan trek:
Either cross the hanging bridge or under the bridge. I suggest that you try both! On the way to Sitio Haduan you cross the bridge and grab the opportunity to take pictures. There is actually a security who monitor the bridge. Bawal daw ang tumalon! NKKLK sa lahat ng hanging bridge dito bawal tumalon! Haha Well I think it's for maintenance purposes. Going back to jump-off point try crossing under the bridge. The way going there is much easy as compare to the bridge. Wala na siyang paakyat! Just tell your guide regarding this. Alam na nila yun!

Cross the bridge

Under the bridge
Trail difficulty: 1/10 (haha naks)
For a non climber like me, believe me when I say that the trek is easy. There is a part which you need to catch your breath and drink some water but definitely not all part. I think it's just 10% of the trail. There is actually a mini-stop (literally to stop) at the center who sell softdrinks and cold water. The price is not cheap but reasonable. Her place is perfect where most of the visitors literally stops in her store to catch breath and suppressed to buy some cold drinks to chill. (No pictures imagine me catching my breath at that moment) and the rest of the trek is very smooth and relaxing.

kunware hindi hinihigal

One of the most exciting part of the trail is you need to climb in a stone and do some rappelling. Haha I thought this is the most difficult part but I was wrong. This is the most exciting part. Sisiw lang. Haha

Ang saya namin sa likod

I just want to give my kudos to the CE students of UST for the water system they put up in Sitio Haduan. You just don't know guys how useful it is not just to people of Sitio Haduan but also to the tourist visiting the falls!

After 2 hours (an hour if you are physically fit) you will reach HADUAN FALLS!!

Ay, andaming tao! Haha

Just find your perfect place in the area. Usually our driver left in our place to check the bags. Some of the visitors are leaving so not a problem at all. We were lost so we started the trek by 9:30am. I think much better if you will go there or start by 10am so that by the time you will reach the place is not that crowded.

The falls is not majestic however the water is so refreshing!! Ang lamig. Ang sarap ng tubig! Sobraaa! Mas masarap maligo kesa sa beach. 3 hours stay in the place is enough for us.

try some helmet diving there.. its' fun! Haha
